Society members Mike Dumelow and Graham Ensor observed and photographed the transit of Mercury across the Sun's disk on May 7th. The following pictures were captured from video by Graham Ensor.

The Sun was projected onto a white card, and the resulting image was videoed, captured, and contrast enhanced using Photoshop. Mercury appears as a small black dot near the top of the Sun's disk. Click on picture to load a full res version.
